About The Project
Perched high in the scenic Oakland Hills, this bathroom remodel offered not only a technical challenge but also a stunning work environment with sweeping views of the Bay Area. The homeowner’s design team envisioned transforming a compact half bath into a modern, functional master bathroom, and our role as general contractors was to bring that vision to life with precision and craftsmanship.
The project began with the complete demolition of the existing space, allowing for structural adjustments to close off old access points, create new entries, and reconfigure the layout. We reframed openings for the shower and relocated the door, added blocking for accessories including ADA grab bars, and constructed a custom shower niche. Plumbing lines were relocated to accommodate the new layout, with a thermostatic shower valve for optimal comfort. Electrical work included updated lighting, outlets, niche lighting inside the shower, and a towel warming bar, while insulation was added to meet Title 24 requirements.
For the finishes, the homeowners selected luxury materials that elevated the design with elegance and sophistication. High-quality tile work, fresh paint, and modern fixtures completed the transformation. The result is a spacious and refined master bathroom that merges form and function, perfectly tailored to the homeowner’s lifestyle while making the most of its extraordinary hillside location.
